Bringing together a medley of ornamental and edible plants, this garden seeks to evoke the joy of being surrounded by planting; whether as formal blocks of colourful vegetables or informal swathes of billowing grasses and perennials. Based on geometric shapes, a water rill invites you to gently explore the garden; from the formal edible crops which stand to attention in the foreground to the softer planting towards the boundaries. The ethically sourced stone brings a beautiful yet serious note to the garden – that of sustainability and the hope that future generations can enjoy a healthy planet, and gardening too.
Many of the herbs and vegetables are being grown here at home in Staffordshire; I will no doubt be posting my thoughts on their growth (or lack of!) in future blogs!
