With the stone wall finally built, it was time to start the planting at the Children's Centre today. The garden is split into two halves by a functional path and the nature of the site divides the plot nicely into a hot sunny side and a shady side.
With one area forming an excellent place for growing sun-loving herbs, flowers and vegetables and the opposite side providing a cool story corner, the garden is really beginning to take shape! Space will be provided for growing vegetables during the year and wigwam canes will provide support for beans, peas and flowers during the summer, and cosy, child-made dens during the winter!
Let me know if you want to come and help me - I am always in need of spare hands as I am doing this as a volunteer and need the extra help!
