The incorporation of the water rill is often commented upon with people being amazed that such a small garden (only 5m x 7m) can include so many different elements yet still remain tranquil. This is largely down to the selection of beautiful materials - the soft ethical Marshalls sandstone and the FSC bench, combined with the FSC western red cedar screen from Denbigh Timber products.
Tonight saw the airing of the RHS Tatton Show on the BBC and the garden appeared three times - firstly in the opening shots with Monty Don introducing the show, then as a linking piece and finally with Carol Klein who talks about the edible and ornamental plants found within the garden. It was great to see the garden from their point of view!
I am preparing a talk for the GROW THEATRE tomorow (Saturday 4.30pm) about growing edible plants in small spaces - come along to find out more!
