Eventually we sorted ourselves out, managed to paint the back wall despite the threatening rain clouds and started the wooden swirls of timber. They took a long time to get right but once we had worked it out we were on a roll. We left the first swirl to set overnight (or fall over - we hope it's not the latter!).
Pete laid an extra course of bricks on top of the stone wall to bring it in line
with the surrounding land running alongside the garden, and a lovely job he did
More wooden swirls to make tomorrow...I will try not to giggle all morning, honest!
