The final waterproof coat was applied this morning and was fairly quick to set. This meant that the boys from Actual Landscapes who are building the garden could get on a start the stonework. By the end of the day, the rill was dressed from top to bottom with the amazing ethically sourced sawn sandstone walling stone from Marshalls. The stone makes it to the top of the rill Alan directing the traffic!
Friends Alan and Joan arrived on site to give a hand with the building and the plants - thanks guys, much appreciated!Hemerocallis and Echinacea
With the main perennials now on site and the sun beating down on them relentlessly, it was time to start placing them and working out their positions in the garden. There are some interesting plant combinations coming along with Hemerocallis Highland Lord, Liatris spicata Floristan Violet, Campanula Prichards Variety and Echinacea Amazing Dream. I can't wait to see it all come together! If my garden last year is anything to go by, this planting plan is only version 1 of many more to come and it may well change once all of the veggies come on site too!
