Stipa tenuissima in the background with Salvia
I finally ordered my plants from the nursery today. After a few discussions over the phone, they were loaded onto the waggon and made thier way up from Hampshire to the NEC...and they are stunning! The Salvia Vatian White is superb and a real talking point already with other people building gardens and Peony Sarah Bernhardt looks like it will bloom just in time for the show. Unfortunately the nursery had lost my large mounded Hebe Toparias, so after a few stressful moments I decided to change the mounded forms in the middle of the garden to a swirl of Stipa tenuissima. It has given the garden a different feel but it works so well in a children's garden with their soft flowing forms running around in a circle.
