We managed to avoid the heavy thunder storms all day; you could see it skirting around us for hours before it finally settled overhead at about 3.30pm. A mad dash to the car for my waterproof was badly timed - the heavens truly opened and the plants and I received our best watering yet!!!
Luckily it stopped just in time for the sell-off bell at 4pm. For one hour only, show gardens were allowed to literally pull the garden apart as people jostled to buy plants which had been used in the garden. My fabulous Garden Angels, Karen and Julie (who also fed and watered me on numerous occasions) returned to help and this time the sell-off went smoothly. By the time we had finished, the garden was a muddy mess and a sad sight to behold.
